Ahh nice. 620 pounds wont be nearly as bad. Does the tesla convert dc to ac, or does it naturally charge dc and convert from ac when plugged into the wall outlet? I've never really looked at the tesla cars that much.

The Tesla allows 3 types of charging

Level 1 - 120v 15amp AC (6 hours)
Level 2 - 220v 40amp AC (3 hours)
Level 3 - 440v DC charging (30-45 minutes)

AC charging requires it converted to DC to charge. So it is more efficient and faster DC to DC charging..

Gotcha. Whew, 440v will stand up some hairs. Good thing there's a sparky on board.

That is why we have to be extremely careful to keep the generator/charger isolated from vehicle ground.. 440volts dc on a 12v system would be very bad!

Just like when we stop to recharge a ground rod will have to be driven to ground the gen/charger system..

It is definitely going to be interesting and challenging build..

People are definitely gonna wonder whats going on when they see a tesla nosed up to a Raptors tailgate. But you guys will have a ton of support! And you cant be criticized for the electric car part since the Raptor is the chase vehicle. The Raptor doesnt spring words like eco friendly...

But you definitely have my support! Where can I follow it besides here? Tv, website, youtube, etc.?
