Pirate, you can have a Bromance with me if you want. I like your post and you have helped me in the past.

I tried to find you at trr. Saw your truck a lot but never found you.

Who was bashed? You must be a little over sensitive regarding the subject. Take a couple deep breaths, it's all good.

Further proving my point.

Question: Does anybody know what instructions I should give to the spring shop who is re-arching my SD's? Like how much arch to put in them?

Little late to the party but there is another spring manufacturer out there...

Atlas Spring :hidesbehindsofa:

I know nothing about them only that they have been in business for a long time. I have never had any of their products.

They advertise and sell leaf packs specifically for the Raptor. I have been emailing them back and forth as I had questions about achieving an exact ride height. They are willing to work with me and arch the springs to my specifications.

Their spring packs are considerably cheaper than National and Deaver. I am a true believer in "you get what you pay for" but from the looks of it they have very low overhead and probably do not apply the "Raptor Tax."

I know the LGS folks run them, so maybe I'll solicit them and report back...

Tell Corey that you have the original -1" springs that sacked out quick. RPG has already admitted that design mistake and has offered
to help get them replaced.

I hope you can find peace with your rear end. ;-)

This is how I would do it:
Remove the springs.
Mark the drivers side.
Place upside down on the ground
Measure from the ground to the top of the arch.
Tell the shop you want +x number of inches over that number. And the driver side a 1/2" more.
Check them before you leave the spring shop.
You may want to get new bushings too. I can't remember if national uses pollyurathan or rubber bushings. But they do wear out over time. The rubber faster (~5 yrs) than the polly bushings.

When I was looking to re-ach my springs in Omaha, the spring shop quoted me about $130. Although they didn't know what I was taking about when I told them I had a progressive leaf pack with 12 springs. =mind blown lol...

Talk with either National and/or RPG and see what they say on the re-arching.

MCR - you may want to have them over arch a bit and run a drop shackle as an option. Or if you like the ass high in the air, run as is.

GREAT LAKES RAPTOR EXCURSIONS

Brian, Corey, and myself settled on what I feel is fair deal for both parties on replacement springs. Currently the ball is in my court to proceed. It's actually a deal Brian/Corey offered a few months ago but due to communication errors that I feel were caused on both ends,
the deal never took place. I think RPG was always honest with me about the gen one springs having growing pain issues. They never tried to deny it.
