Looks like ya'll had a blast. My last couple of weeks has just went down hill. Not only did I get sick and miss the run, I worked on the interior for a buddies '49 Ford and got it finished while I was sick, we have been working on it for 18 months, thrashing for the last 6 months. Headed to its first car show Friday night about 3 hours north. Got done with dinner and when my phone finally got signal it flooded with text and voicemail. The tornado that touched down in St Charles went through out neighborhood. So we turned around, checked out of the hotel and drove 3 hours back down. Got there at 2:30am to find this.

Tornado dropped a limb through the windshield, bent the roof, a-pillar, pushed in the fender and gouged the fender and hood.
We feel pretty lucky because this and a fence are all we lost from all of the trees limbs that dropped. The real damage starts 4 houses down, that block has 5 houses that are a total loss and 10 that have to be repaired before they can live in them.

After cleaning up the yard and fixing fence, I washed the truck last night and looked for any other damage, taped up the windshield and delivered it to Pundmann for to do the repairs. Insurance agent is supposed to go by today or tomorrow to do the estimate.

The limb came from about 1/4 of the way from the top of this tree.

Drove it to the Ford house like this.

One cop looked at me and looked down like, I didn't see that just keep going.

Shit news, sorry to hear. On a positive note your replacement ford fender could likely fund a pair of new fglass ones. Also I need a new windshield after SD too, feeling any better yet ;)

"my wheel has a pretty aggressive shimmy, probably all the mud... anyone else feeling this?"

"That's just your truck rejecting the pavement"

Yeah, I have actually handled this pretty well, can't say that I would of a few years ago. Heck we are just excited cause the neighbor just texted that we have power finally.

I have been wondering if I could fight progressive for depreciation value and get them to cut me a check for the difference since it is so new. I know in Texas you could do that, that basically cut you a check for the 10-15% that your truck was devalued. Anybody know if that works elsewhere? Would be some nice mod money.

Sorry CLM to hear/see your update.

I never though it would be safer on a Raptor Run than staying at home.

As much as it sucks now, everything can be repaired and you did not get hurt, which is all that matters.

Well see ya at the next Run man!! :rockit:
