We love our stage 4+. We never had any issue with our shocks and they have run great through multiple trials and jumps (been to TRR twice), even the one that messed up Nicole's back. As one of the early adopters of RPG suspension products, we did have the springs that were arched too low. They was the true definition of squatting.
Luke, man I didn't think you were squatting at all. Your ass was down may be an inch, but certainly not squatting status. The national springs are a progressive spring, and are not as stiff as the OEM springs. As the rear of the truck comes down, the spring gets stronger.
The HD springs might be too much for you for normal driving since you are a SCAB. You looked normal with a load, you can't expect zero sag, even with the HDs.
Josh & Lug, I would recommend the HDs for any SCREW truck. Nicole and I wish we would have gotten them sooner. I've gone from having the original that needed more arch, to the standard with +1.5" to the HD with +2. The ass was high and mighty when I first installed them. But after our run weekend, they settled down a bit. I was heavily loaded for our trip and had no issue. I was worried that they might be to stiff without anything in the bed, but they rode just find on the highway. I ran back and forth to KC a couple of times and it was smooth. The back of my truck does sit higher than the front, but you don't have to do the +2". Also, RPG can get the driver side arched a 1/4" or so higher than the passenger side to account for the Raptor lean.
Labraptor, I though you looked loaded, but not bad.
Also, WSI offers an HD spring that is very comparable, at a very affordable price.
When we were towing the pup, RW kept saying, " what bumps, I don't feel no stinking bumps"
If you guys have any question or want to talk through my trials, feel free to call me or email me.
