Lug i was overly pleased with the performance of my stage 4 from rpg. Only thing i could say is look into the HD nationals and talk to joe. He switched to the HD's just before we left so he could give you some insight.

With the cooler and such my truck with standards was squatting a bit more than i would like.

I will have less in the bed for the upcoming dunes so i can report more on the sag then.

Glad you said something about the HD's , because i was wondering about this subject.

Were you carrying a lot in the back of your truck during the trip ?

I would be interested to know if the truck became to stiff with the HD

I had the cooler with food, bread and chips, and some misc stuff. Not sure on weight but couldn't of been more than 400-450 pounds tops.
I should of measured before and after the trip because visually it looks like it hasn't sprung back up. I'm waiting for a fellow frf'er with stock leafs to get me a measurement from bottom of wheel to fender lip.

Joe can let you know how stiff it got. The hds are supposed to have the same spring rate with 500 pounds in the bed. Doesn't take long to rack up 500 pounds

From garage floor to fender lip is 43" even one side 42 7/8" on the other.
Still have spare and floor jack in the bed

No problem. I was disappointed in how much sag I had in my stock springs when loaded for the trip. I will have to find my measurements later. It dropped about 2 inches from above numbers when loaded to leave for SD.

I have the Stage 3 with the HD springs. I love how it rides.
When I tow my 27 ft travel trailer it doesn't squat much at all and it doesn't feel that stiff either.

Wow the pictures look amazing. It's funny I was watching a show on the discovery channel the other day about SD and was thinking thinking to myself I'm there next year as long as the truck is up and running unlike this year. I'm glad everyone had a great time and made it home safe and sound. It really is cool that forum members are willing to take on the leg work to make more and more trips like this possible. I only did it one time and to be honest, didn't realize the amount of responsibility that goes into it until I was in the middle of the thing.

Keep the pics coming
