Pretty sure you should let that be tested for a few. Think it tricks the computer to think there is low voltage coming from battery. Not sure of long term effects..

I read somewhere it tells BCM that a 400w sub is connected.

:challenge:

at least me and Guy are running a Kenwood amp, mine at 300w, his pushing 200 (over ? 4 ohms? )

stop/start still functions. Maybe 300 isn’t enough load, but I’ve been able to get a temporary suppression by listening to tunes while washing / drying the truck. I get about 15-20 minutes of drive time with no stop start ; reason is charging.

YMMV

The way I read it is Ford disabled the auto start/stop if the truck has a 400W subwoofer installed from the factory. The Forscan tweak tells the truck it has the factory 400W sub, even if it doesn't, and therefore it disables the start/stop.

What you've added to your truck, or what wattage it is means nothing in that context.

Why so much hate towards the stop/start feature? I know it can be jerky, but is it really that bad?

I went into it with a completely open mind. I was more than willing to get used to it.
I HATE IT!
I guess my brain is hardwired to expect that a vehicle should rest at idle when at a stop light, etc. THAT is where I notice it and hate it. Seems I'm quite used to intuitively inching up while while waiting for a light to turn green, etc..

That, AND...
Lets be honest here...its just plain stupid. Am I really trying to save money on gas!?? Now that I think about it, **** FORD for even making it so that there is no option to disable it PERMANENTLY!

This country has become so ******* SOFT.

Now you got me going. ****!!!!!

lol.

This thread reminds me of all the hate towards the Active Fuel Management (V4 mode) feature on the new Corvettes. Same sort of "I didn't buy it for fuel efficiency" comments there too.
