this is where the aftermarket equipment can play a serious role. i run the viper system and i have a small standalone battery with a gps module hidden somewhere in the truck. the battery only powers the gps module. in your situation, if they did get the truck, and disarm the system, i can track it for up to a week on the battery without anyone even knowing.
