curious if anyone has seen their intake temps drop after installing the shroud

I doubt you would see any change in temps from just the shroud, perhaps less restrictive air flow if you have the older shroud that can lift under boost.

Added some more Cobb goodness this afternoon. Intake is for a “Gen 2” but works perfectly with a aFe IAT extension.

This weekend I installed the Cobb Intercooler (factory location). I did not bother with the hot/cold pipes this time and I got the job done in about 1.5hrs total. Here are some good photos that show a size comparison between the Cobb and the factory IC.

I bought some plastic truck ramps that gave me more room to get underneath, but then the truck was too high to jack the IC and fan all the way up into place. In the end I just muscled it up in there rolled up on my back and holding it in place with my knees while I grabbed the bracket and started the bolts by hand. Unlike the Titan IC in my Gen2, I did not have to trim any plastic this time, just remove the shroud around the shutters. To be honest the biggest PITA of the whole job is pulling that plastic shroud off the shutters and pulling out the 2, yes 2 Christmas trees holding the wire harness for the bypass value - they are way up there and hard to get to.

After having been in the Ruby Red Gen2 for several years, I find the Silver a bit plain. I decided maybe some vinyl would do the trick. I found these Ford Performance Gen 3 decals on Etsy for $65 so I ordered a pair - I like the way they look. I'm on the fence if I want to add the "Raptor" graphics on the bedsides. What do you think?

Haven't driven the truck over the weekend, though I'm always on the measurements page. I'll report back this week. Doubtful anything is gonna change from a 99.9% (presumably) cosmetic modification.
