with the Hero2 the menus are really easy to navigate actually. It only gets sort of confusing when you add in the LCD backpack thing. Must have been one of the changes, because I can go in and select my FOV as normal, narrow, or wide, and can also go in and select what resolution I want to shoot in. It's pretty intuitive.

For the GoPro (and I am not expert) I have mine set at 720P at 60 FPS and I havent seen any choppy video yet. Works for me.

I got the same camera. Never had a gopro before. How you planning on mounting. Dont they have a suction cup mount? (Not included in the Motorsport edition.) Im having chop in my videos when i try to play them back too. I got a 32 GB card. It might just be my slow computer though. Any info appreciated.

I have used my suction cup mount and haven't had any issues with it. I used to drive home once, and on the beach a couple of times. It might just be your computer.

My advice is to play around with the GoPro before the race. The first time I used my GoPro I charged the extra battery pack and thought if you charged the extra it would also charge the main one when connected. The very first beach run I went on, didnt get any good video.

The second beach run, charged all batteries; but forgot about the dust effect. So I got a lot of video, but the video towards the end was cloudy. I cleaned off the camera mid way by pouring water on it, but it required the dust/sand.

I am debating putting stock wheels and tires back on for the Texas Raptor Run.

For a couple of reasons:
1) keep from tearing up new my wheels and tires.
2) keep the side of my truck from being blasted with crap (because of offset)
3) not ripping off fenders, liners, and anything else from spirited driving (jumping)

What does everyone else think? Keep my -12mm offset wheels on for the run or put stockers on?

I think this is a great idea!

Well i have done several things, like:

1.Got my new G-Force 3021 Pro Phenom helmet
2.Got my HG250B fire extinguisher
3.Got a 20' Kinetic recovery rope
4.Got my first-aid kit
5.Got all my camping crap together
6. Making sure the tool box is all loaded up and all the tools where they should be
7. Putting together all the "just in case" electrical tools and zip ties and all that good stuff.
8. Secured a way to trailer the truck down so as to be sure that there will be a return trip home.
9. Bought a couple of extra 5ers so i can take plenty of 93 since nobody around there sells it, and I dont really want to be driving around looking for gas stations in the middle of B.F.E. anyway. I'd rather be on the track or shootin guns or the shit or whatever.

Haven't gotten to add any badass performance upgrades for this trip but hopefully by the time the next one comes around I will have a few good ones. But for now I get to run her stock but with catback, intake and tune. Shes only got 5k on her tho and my pockets aren't near as deep as some.

We are 8 days away from EPIC Raptor history!!!!!

Get some water poly hose, get a 6in piece of 1in copper pipe and shove the hose in it cut it off so its at the end of the copper pipe. Now when the fire gets hot, throw it in and watch the cool color flames it makes...
