I am debating putting stock wheels and tires back on for the Texas Raptor Run.

For a couple of reasons:
1) keep from tearing up new my wheels and tires.
2) keep the side of my truck from being blasted with crap (because of offset)
3) not ripping off fenders, liners, and anything else from spirited driving (jumping)

What does everyone else think? Keep my -12mm offset wheels on for the run or put stockers on?

This is exactly what I was planning if I go.

I have prepared for the run by purchasing the following:

tow strap with D Rings
GoPRo 2 Motorsport
Helmet
Tuner (courtesy of Five Star)
Fire Extinguisher (courtesy of Trey)
VP Racing Can
$20 Dollar Mud Flaps from Autozone!

I already had the First Aid Kit(s) and Canon DSLR with various gadgets. I saved some money by finding a already forgotten about tent, but am considering putting the money saved from that towards a CO2 tank and towards a VHF Handheld.

I got the same camera. Never had a gopro before. How you planning on mounting. Dont they have a suction cup mount? (Not included in the Motorsport edition.) Im having chop in my videos when i try to play them back too. I got a 32 GB card. It might just be my slow computer though. Any info appreciated.

If you've got a class 10 32GB card in there, then it's for sure not your camera.

It may be a setting in your gopro....they arent the easiest little cameras to setup if you dont use them all the time. The little window lcd gives you abreviations that are hard to interpret, and for instance they have 5 different modes the shoot video in, but 1-5 who knows which is wide, narrow, HD, etc...without looking it up in the owners manual. It also has a frame rate setting designed to save space if you need it, but with a 32 gig card, you should be able to shoot more footage than battery life allows at the highest resolutions and framerates. Play around with it, or bring it to the SMC event RV and I can help you figure out the problem. I have like 5 of these cameras.

with the Hero2 the menus are really easy to navigate actually. It only gets sort of confusing when you add in the LCD backpack thing. Must have been one of the changes, because I can go in and select my FOV as normal, narrow, or wide, and can also go in and select what resolution I want to shoot in. It's pretty intuitive.
