you lost me in those directions.

Cut a 6in piece of copper pipe...
Cut a 6in piece of poly hose...
Shove the hose inside the copper pipe... Sometimes its easier to shove a longer piece of hose in the piping them cut it off...
When fire gets hot throw it into the fire...

I have been trying to find a better bed organizer, but I am not to the point where I feel comfortable drilling holes in my bed and/or spending lots of money. I recently purchased a CO2 tank, and also needed to figure out a way to mount it in the back. I was speaking with a good friend of mine ( a wood / metal working genius) about it, and we came up with the idea of using a wooden box. It would be cheap, and I would be able to mount stuff to it. Last night we finally got around to drinking beer and making it. Total set up took 30 bucks at the local lowes (would have been cheaper but I had to buy screws) and about 2 hours of time.

We did leave the bottom out of the fuel tank side because the tank wouldn't fit with the wood bottom. We made it a bit deeper so that we could just slide the tank in and out. I am still waiting for the bracket, but I placed the tank next to it to see about how I wanted to mount it.

The only criteria I required was to 1. Have it be cheap and easy to make, 2. strong enough to mount a bracket to it, 3. Be secure, 4. Stay under my Bakflip, and 5. be able to fit my VIP fuel tank in it. I feel it meet all criteria, what do you guys think?

Pictures Attached.

I found a fire extinguisher. I need to start organizing the stuff in the shop and erring it all ready. Make sure all the tent pieces are there. Air mattress. Straps. All tht good stuff. I'm back and forth on whether or not to bring the Honda 3000.

Are fires allowed or not. If not I will for sure bring it for lights

It should work. I would plan on a strap across the top to keep the box down against the floor and I would go ahead and find some blocks of thick foam to put in the sections where the stuff in the box is not to the top. Use the foam to keep stuff down in place when the top is down. You could also just strap a piece of the plywood over the open box and strap it down. You will not beleive just how much stuff will bang and beat while off roading.

I did a plastic foam mold hinged box. I will have it strapped against my tail gate and strapped on foward side and across the top. I have it setting on a rubber foam mat to keep it from migrating side to side or frontwards. I HOPE! HAhahaaaaaaaa.

Good Idea about strapping it from the top as well!

No fires. I picked up a tent and a lantern today. Most of Texas is still under a burn ban due to the drought.
