Came home and told her I ordered the beast. All she said was to get my ass back up there next day and get the moon roof. Did that, and she was right, I do enjoy me some moon roof.
I usually bring one home every couple of years and after two or three days of sitting in the garage she says "Did you get a new truck?". Ha, I love blondes.

Oh, well I just had to flip over 5 times in my F-150 going 80mph on the expressway to get my Raptor. Insurance paid for brand new Raptor.

After seeing Top Gear America 01x04 in January of 2011...
There was no turning back...had been infected with the Raptor bug...

Sold the 98 Audi A6 2.8. In November of 2011, Called the last Dealer in the Country (Ohio..im in California) that had the exact build and color I wanted (SCAB Ebony Black W/Raptor Plus PKG, Moonroof and LUX PKG)..Put the deposit...two weeks later I received my new SVT Raptor.

Until 4 years ago, I drove an old police car that I paid $1500 for in 1996. Then my father-in-law got a new car & gave me his old one, a 2001.

My wife bought a 2001 Subaru right before we met that she still drives.

My income just increased sevenfold, and we will be replacing her Subaru with a new one within a month or so.

I first saw a molten orange Raptor sitting on a dealer lot 18 months ago, and she was with me when I saw it. I hadn't heard anything about them yet, and I did a U-turn on a 55 mph road to go back to see it. I think she knew then it was a matter of time. I'd already wanted a Ford truck before then a long time.

I will be ordering my '13 as soon as I can get over to the dealer now (could be 2 weeks). I've been driving 22 years, and the total I've spent buying cars up to now is $3725.

So what did I have to do - delay gratification. A lot of waiting. (although there's more waiting to come after the order, it's nothing compared to the past!)

Thanks! I was not going to give up that easy. We went truck shopping and my parents surprised me with a new raptor!
