And this is why I hate people. The ability of people to fail at simple tasks annoys the crap out of me. Its NOT that difficult to drive. Glad you're ok, hope they total the truck so you can get a new one.

Update

Insurance came through...totaled :word: I am both relieved and bummed. I loved that truck and was slowly modding it to where I wanted. Almost had enough saved to upgrade the suspension.

I was however surprised at the market value they put on the truck. First, the salvage alone was $21,500!! :wtf2: I still owed $25k and change. They are cutting me a check for $33k and change after they pay off the lien holder and even paid for my "unused" registration. Thanks State Farm!

Already have an appointment with Heller Ford to see if they can get me into a 2013 without me having to pay too much out of pocket. Essentially looking to be with a couple 1k within what I would have been in before the crash...why should I have to pay a ridiculous amount out of pocket due to someone else negligence! :peace:

Glad the insurance did the right thing in terms of totaling it. Hope the "gap" on funds isn't too big and those saved funds can still go toward the suspension.
Trust me, evenif the gap is more than you wanted its better than living with the other one "good as new". Been through the same a few years back. They didn't total it and the thing drove down the road 10 degrees off straight. Body and Frame folks said it was right though. Maybe it was me that was off after the accident. I did hit my head pretty hard but...

I love my State Farm. They have always taken care of me when I had claims. Glad to hear you can get a new one.

State Farm has always been fantastic. I would hope so after being with them for 26years. I was truly shocked at the Market Value they placed on the truck. After all is said and done, I get $33k to pocket and put towards a new Raptor. I think I actually gained made $4k on the truck considering I paid $48k back in 2011 thru the military program and insurance paid me out $58k (including compensation for Bedrug, CAI which wasn't much) and change.

The biggest down side to all this, I will probably have to wait at least 5-6 months before I can even think about seeing a new Raptor due to order back log, unless I get lucky and a dealer has what I want (color/luxury package) for "invoice" or lower. Working with Costco atm which is $4-5k below MSRP.
