It may sound like overkill but if one person in each group has one then you should be good. Never know on some of these trails. Plus lead group usually changes.

You probably don't need to bring a Chainsaw.

GLRE-001 and GLRE-1.5 will be with the lead group 90% of the time and we have one. Plus Shooter and a few others have them.

Never a bad question or thought when it comes to cold wilderness ... it actually came up on snoball13, and we all had to take back our prepper jabs toward Todd and his overpacking syndrome



though the tree that was encounter in '14 was beyond the extent of a chainsaw solution

Yep, EVERYONE made fun of me and my chainsaw on the windshield mount, but not an hour into the trails and I got to use it! I've never been more proud!
