Might be vents so the airbag can deflate.

ha ha ha... I like this but its not. The bag deflates through the mesh material of the bag. Its a fabric bag not a solid bag. but ya never know it might be there for that too... First i have ever heard of it but it sure could help some if thats what its for,.

Haha, a ******* solid bag comes out and whacks you in the face!

Anything inflatable is not solid, is it? I mean, think about a balloon -- that that classified as a solid? Solid, Liquid, Gas? WTF. I'm drinking, so I don't know what is what.

But the holes under the dashboard are not for deflation purposes. The tiny airbag module itself is located inside the steering wheel itself. I removed mine in my Mustang to replace the steering wheel and there is no connection to anything else, aside from electronics.

I think someone at Ford was just ******** with us by putting them there and he or she is now laughing their ass off at this thread.

Lol swoop rubber for a ballon is technically a solid as far as state o matter. But using solid as an adjective to describe the elastic rubber wouldn't be good.

Elastic rubber?! Isn't rubber elastic anyway? Is there non-elastic rubber?!

That shit's elastic when used as "a rubber" for me, lol!

I can't remember what car it was that I had... BMW or Corvette, but a similar small hole was present... the purpose of which was to insert a long screwdriver type instrument to depress some kind of button on the end that allowed for the release of the air bag component in the steering wheel for its removal...

Maybe that's what this hole is for?

ALL holes have a purpose... to stick something in it!
