shop scare for 2nd perch

Hell...you can rent everything from Autozone...compressors, jack, jack stands, and it doesn't cost you a dime. I'll be doing it at my buddy's house (hopefully) because he has air tools

Only costs if you don't return the tools. Don't ask me how I know haha

The compressor tool you need, is a strut spring compressor. Not a coil spring compressor which feeds up through the center. I choose to take the shocks out but if you follow the RPG video, you can't go wrong. You will need an alignment after.

I took mine to my local tire and shock place. I showed the shop foreman the video on youtube and he and his guys had no trouble doing it with the shocks off. Got the alignment there too only $114 total.

For the people taking the shocks off how did you retorque the lower shock bolts to 406 ft. lbs?

The few times I have removed or installed big blue without air tools...I used my leg and put my back against the wall. I figure pushing with my leg until blue in the face is about 400

I didn't have big enough sockets so the last time I was torquing down the "blue bolts" I broke my 12" crescent wrench. Guess thats what happens when you have a 4ft cheater pipe haha! I new when the jaws would flex it was right at 406.
