I am interested in doing an alarm as well, I have a place that sells Directed electronics but I don't see any of the packages like the 5904 that Nosbusa mentioned, looks like I would have to order everything separate. My Raptor does not have the remote start, but would like to have it what do you recommend for parts. 7941V is the part number for the Viper color remote, is that the one you recommend.

dont get it like that. its too expensive.

clifford 590.4x
viper 5904
python 5904P 594

these are all the same alarm. they just have a different box. they are packaged different so stereo shops wouldnt have to compete with each other. one shop could be a clifford dealer and the shop 1 mile away could be a viper dealer, but that idea went out the window when everyone found out i was the same comany....

Unfortunately that's the only way they offer it. So 7941V would that be the remote only or would that be remote and start module?

The Python remote looks different?DEI7941P.jpg
It would be cool if you could change the image onscreen to a truck.

MMMMMmmmm NICE!
Can't wait to see. Wish I could get one.

Yeah, I'm excited to inatll it. Of course since all the offroad gear that attaches to will be in there most of the time I'll be looking for locking cables and other security items too.

It doesn't take much to add up to $3K worth of tools now-a-days. I don't do constructions, but I assure you have close to if not more then $3K of tools & recovery & hunting gear in my toolbox all the time.

Oh no doubt about it. Tools add up so quickly. All my expensive stuff sleeps at the house.

That's the remote I have. It's a little bulky, but no big deal. It works as advertised and has a ton of features. Just make sure you enable the button lock or you'll be remote starting your truck from your pocket constantly.

I broke my two way remote's screen. Started using the backup remote and have been since. My wife made me call Viper and they sent me a new two way remote, but I still like the small one better.

viper has a lifetime warranty on the remotes AS LONG AS THE SCREEN IS NOT BROKEN. i hope they helped you out on this one, since you just installed it.

Yeah to be honest I use the small one more often too lately. Mainly just because I keep misplacing the charger to the big LCD one lol. (It has to be charged about once a month, FYI for those considering purchase)

Do you guys know of a way to lock the buttons on the small one?
