We could have gone with any bump stop in our kit but we chose what we believe to be the best choice for the Raptor.

Some points when comparing the King or Fox bump to our set up using the Light Racing bumps -

It is a more compact bump design

It gets exponentially stiffer as it compresses to a final length and then damping itself critically (means it doesn't follow the terrain back down, it extends slower than the suspension drops away…) so it can't contribute to the rebounding effect of the vehicle’s springs

With a correctly set up by-pass shock for the Raptor, you do not need to have a 3" or 4" travel bump stop. The by-pass has bump zones and running a longer travel bump stop interferes with the shock trying to do it's job.

With the compact design the Light Racing bump does not come into play unless you are hitting hard, right where and when you want the bump stop to come into play.

If you take a look at other kits on the market you will see that because of the length of the air bump and or the location of the lower bump pad you would hit the bump cruising through a parking lot over speed bumps.

Thanks Jason, great explanation. :waytogo:

Edit...one follow up question, you said "with a correctly set up by-pass shock for the Raptor...". Does that include with the stock shocks, or only after adding something like the 3" bypass kit you sell ?

Is that done in your shop or just the kit?

Thats just the parts. Install is a few bucks extra.

The stock shocks work extremely well with this set-up!

You guys spoke and we listened... We have had positive feedback from the users of our bump stop kits... but we did have a few things that Raptor owners voiced to use to help improve the ease of install for the end users...
-Having to remove the bed for install
-Having to drill 2 holes for install
-Having to already be running Deaver springs for install

Well here are a few shots of our kit after making those changes...

This kit functions just like our original kit with the exception of ease of install. You do not have to remove the bed, you do not have to drill holes and you are able to run any spring pack you want...

Better than stock ride quality over rough terrain

Increased stability

Eliminate harsh and damaging suspension bottoming

Increased wheel travel

You do not loose travel with our kit - With at least one of the kits being sold you do loose travel...
