Does anyone run the pre filter? Not sure if it restricts the airflow much but I work in a very dusty environment and put on miles quick. Anything to extend the life without hampering performance is worth it to me.

With the factory resonator removed (if that's what it's called), how does it sound? Can you hear any intake honk, particularly at the shift points?

Anybody can answer this? I've had a Volant CAI with my old Yukon Denali and was pretty loud. Would like to know if it's quieter(not too loud) since it's a closed setup.

I have a new K&N intake that was never installed on a Raptor that I sold. Its part #: 77-2579KTK and fits 2010-2014 6.2L. Its new in box and I have it listed on Ebay. I just opened the box when I first got it to make sure everything was in there. Its a great deal considering its new and they're $373 on K&N's website. Listed at $275. I would think it would be very helpful if someone was looking for an intake and found one for $275 as opposed to $373. I'm not a business. I'm just a guy that has an extra unused part.

Well, posting your ad all over the place because you don't want to do it right and put it in the garage sale section is just being a ******. Then trying to play innocent with the 'not in the rules, just trying to give someone a good deal, you hurt my feelings' just confirms you are a ******. S&B Filters​ sent me my intake system for the 6.2L Ford F150 in speedy fashion gettiing it to me on its release date Monday. However, due to a packaging snafu, there was a piece missing. They sent it out next day air, and I had the piece in my hands before 10 am Tuesday. Got it all installed, have yet to have any true driving impressions. Very clean install.

Stock intake system – large box with the 6.2 logo on it is a massive chamber to help with resonance and keep the sound down with the stock intake. This is taken completely off, and all the tubing is replaced. The bottom of the stock airbox is used, but a new inlet tube from the fender side of the box is supplied, providing more flow. I am very impressed with the kit. I've ran several of their intakes in the past - 2008 f250 6.4L and a 2011 Jeep Wrangler, and won't run anything else.

Did you have to get a tune to get the truck to run right with the new CAI? I've been looking at getting this exact one as well. Also, not sure if you can tell just by looking but is the only difference between the stock intake the size of the intake tube. Seems like all these CAI's look very similar to stock from 20ft away. just curious if there is actually any benefit
