Has anyone put LineX XS650 on them? Or is it too slimy to step on safely?

I can recommend Refinish Restorer by Car System. Did wonders with the plastic on my Avalanche. So I used it on the faded runningboards on my Raptor. Gray returned to black instantly and the board is very easy to clean now.

That's cold Birdman.

It goes to Ford's Insurance for warranty. The money is not comin out of the dealer's pocket.

Ford should update the formula on them there boards so it doesn't whiten from wax.

My dealer's on my side and doing all the work, all ive done so far is bring it in for the Ford rep to look at them. I have linex on my bumpers and in the bed and no white spots, that was a good comparison to show the rep and it definatly swayed her opinion.

My dealership informed me last week Ford approved replaceing my running boards because off the white spots! Today they called and the new ones came in,so I'm geting them swaped out tomorow morning. I have to say I didn't think I was going to get new ones so This issue is worth persuing.

Good for you, they can't say much since everybody has this problem, but it is a pain to go and take care of it, the dealer is not going to make it that easy.
If enough pepole complain about this maybe Ford will do something to change the coating!

I have to thank you MTF, I used the info you gave me with the ford Rep the day she came to the dealer to see my truck. It was very helpfull and proved that Ford had your dealer replace yours. It also helped that I have linex On my ADD bumpers and no white spots on those was a good comparison. I agree that ford should change the coating if they have not already. :waytogo:
