It looks like mine have the same problem. Once I really wash the truck, it goes away....

I'm thinking of ditching the running boards entirely.

Mine have the white marks as well. Good to know that Ford will replace them. Let us know how you make out with the new ones!

I've been wanting to post for a month or two about my runnimg boards. Since day one they were never really were clean looking but over the year they now look like this.
I have not waxed the truck yet, but I wash it every two weeks. Did put armorol on them once and the last time I will not do that again :)
This is right after I washed and scrub those things, I wonder if this is from acid rain and would this be covered under warranty?
I have not be off road yet, hunting trip got canceled.

There sitting at the dealer for 3 weeks now, haven't had a chance to go back and get them exchanged.

When I get home I'll post info on mud flaps, I just wish they would have been 2 to 3 inches longer I might change them or add something to bottom to do that. Some dirt does get on top of the running boards and the exhaust tips get dirty. All in all they fit perfectly and are soft enough that you do not have to worry about driving over anythimg.

Mine were the same way.
Try cleaning them with some of that "No Touch" tire cleaner.
Just wash the excess off afterwards.
They come out looking like new.

Did all that, plus the dealer had their detailers come out and try their magic stuff, the black is just burnt away.

They didn't look this good when I first received the Truck.

I was told they cost $1000 for the pair!
