What do you guys think about spare tires? I only have the stock spare, is it bad enough out there where I may need two? Is leaving the spare under the truck alright or would you guys recommend putting it in the bed. Im new to all this and really looking forward to going. So I'm sure Ill have more questions in the future.

I've always just had the factory spare out back for all the raptor runs I've ever been to. No problems. Just make sure it's locked or else it'll be wobbling around like crazy lol.

A spare tire is insurance. I've been on 4 Raptor runs now in the desert. I've never seen anyone go through more than one spare....over 100 miles. There is always a chance, but (1) spare tire should suffice. Less weight too.

You really don't need a fancy chase rack, unless you WANT one. Just get a simple tire carrier for the bed of your truck. They can be had for $300 or less. You'll have more ground clearance and easier to take out and change quickly.

One is ok. Some need two. That's how you make friends.
Under the bed is ok. But check it often as it will come lose.

You guys should read the TRR lessons learned thread. A lot of good stuff in there.

My number one recommendation is your trailer plug. Either relocate it to the bumper or just pull it off and tape the plug off so it doesn't get dirty and zip tie the wiring up high. The only other way to kind of save it is run a trailer hitch that's long enough to drag instead of your trailer plug.

I am going with one but am buying a bed rack because I want to. Makes it easier to tie down all your stuff.

Aren't some of the vendors selling tires at TRR? I thought I saw pictures of a pile of tires by a tent.

Trey - I'm running Icons as well if you need another vehicle, or someone for rotation. Looking at dual fronts before TRR, but haven't made the decision yet.

Just put a 40 behind the grill but haven't had time to play with her much yet.
Did blind the wife and terrorist across the street when I got home.
Anyone have the VisionX 6551 in flood on the hood?
