I'm surprised to hear that Raptoberfest track was tougher than Texana Ranch.

Almost the best intake set up. Change out the K&N before you hit the track with a throw away filter. Reinstall the K&N when you hit the highway.

In my opinion the Volant with the power core filter is by far the superior intake for these trucks....

And yeah man gause was a real critical track and it beat up a lot of trucks....literally.

Like Steve, I learned my MF AiRaid lesson at TRR12. Just say no. AFE no worries with locktite on the hardware.

I agree with Troy that the MGI track at TRRR was hard on trucks when taken at speed. Very deceptive because was mostly pasture so you go faster - but I blew both spindles, rack, ps pump, IWE, etc etc. And it wasn't from hitting any of the marked hazards. That run has me back at the drawing board rethinking ways to prevent the damage. Either beef up more or slow down... those are the choices.

Good to know... not making it to Texana this year and have thought about Raptoberfest.

The track is a cake walk. People just drove hard cause there was no rocks.

If you notice. As a whole there is more carnage at raptor events as time progresses. Everyone has more confindence and drives harder. People put more miles on their trucks and parts wear out.

Who ran aFe or Airaid CAI at TRR last year? I have an Airaid Stage 1, but am thinking of going to an aFe Stage 2. Thoughts?

I've ran my afe stage 2 at the last two TRR's and it's stayed pretty clean the thing I like is its easy to clean and reusable

Pat, I'm looking for thoughts on. Stage 1 vs Stage 2. Does it make a difference in sound, performance, or gas mileage?

The Airaid filter has fallen off about three times, including once at TRR. This is not a good thing! I did learn some tips to keeping it on, but the design is not optimal.

I want to add any extra power I can to the truck to make up for the weight I carry around. What about throttle spacers? Anyone recommend those?
