Hey folks,

Is anyone running a Lowrance or equivalent GPS?(no GPS is not required) We have the routes done and they work great on our Tablets with BackCountry or MotionX, but we arent sure how they are going to react in an actual GPS. I'm a little worried that it will have the same problem as the Snoball and will keep trying to route the quickest way to the waypoints. Anybody want to be a guinea pig???

Oh and Sitdown, your best bet on Deadwood would be maybe Friday if you get in early enough, Saturday or Sunday night if you feel like taking the drive? or Monday afternoon after the run... We arent planning on heading through it at all.

And Wilson, yes Joe is still going to be stopping down at WSI's, so if anyone is interested in a flag mount or whatever else, hit him up... Don't make him too busy though, he still needs to make something for us

If you setup a route with waypoints and not a track a lowrance with route as the crow flies. You need to make a track to load into a lowrance.

Get me your gpx file and ill tell you if
It will work with a lowrance.

I will be running a Lowrance. It is not here yet, but should be by early next week at latest. We have the Garmin we used at Snowball too

Luke set it up as a track and then waypoints got added for Hospitals and Gas and such.. So that sounds like the Lowrance is going to try and take them to the hospitals and gas stations... maybe I can make it two separate files for them and they can load the hospitals if they need, Support trucks will easily see both. I'm also worried about alternate routes, if we pass a possible bug out spot will the Lowrance keep trying to take them back to run the bug out? Will send you the file in a bit... thanks for the offer to test it!

WSI also has a flag mount bracket that bolts onto the stock tow hook.

Sitdown, Wild Bill's has a bar and it has. Deadwood address I think. Close enough for bucket list? I could bring you some whiskey and slide it down the bakflip to you. I know that isn't what you had in mind, just an alternate plan.

No pool, just two little creeks, I wouldn't even call them creeks...Brooks... Streams. But there is a bar. And there is totally the worlds largest wooden glider next door...just saying
