So Its hard to tell exactly but the area we are traveling is mostly in the mountain time zone. Some parts of the badlands may be in central standard time. For Reference, we will be utilizing Mountain Standard time for all schedules during the SDBR

Time zone will depend on how far to the eastern edge of the Badlands, but I think we will be in MST by the looks of the maps. jmo

Time zone was listed as a "lessons learned" from snoball.

For those of you who havent been on an event before, as your organizing your loadout, make room for a cooler, or water / gatorade whatever in the cab of your truck.

Those who did snoball understands, you will drink an insane amount of fluids during these trips. Not sure why its different than any other road trip but it happens.

All this talk about flags reminded me, Do we need safety flags on our trucks for this run? If so, how tall, what end of the truck, flag size, shape & color...

Hi Donk, No there is no safety flag required. It will be similar to snoball in set up, highways and roads leading to trail loops and such. We will have to be conscious of other vehicles or possible ATV/side by sides on the trails. It'll help to run the trails with offroad lights on and Joe and I are planning on running with our whip. Also communications will be key again... Whomever is leading will be communicating possible hazards. We should be fine being 18 trucks deep :big_banana_Dance:

Also wanted to tell everyone that I spoke with Kieth at the campground and he has graciously offered to open his restaurant early for us at 7am both Saturday and Sunday. Everyone is on their own for breakfast, but I know Joe and I are going to hit up Wild Bills to grab a nice hot breakfast before a long day on the trails.

time zone lessons learned... got back to room from casino at 3am night (or rather morning) before snoball day 1 to learn it was actually 4am. ROugh morning to say the least

Not to add or complicate, do we anticipate time one night or day to roll thru deadwood? I'm dying to harass a barkeep a la Chevy Chase in Vacation. I want him to slide a shot of whiskey down the bar at me... sorry bucket list item

WSI also has a flag mount bracket that bolts onto the stock tow hook.

Wish I could be there! have fun!

I agree if Joe still is stopping buy WSI could make up as many if he want's to for who ever would want one. I'm going to be pushing to get the beans in before I leave.

P.S. In the proper flying of a American Flag you need it on this type of pole for the respect part of it. I'm positive WSI can make it look a lot nicer than my stick welder job. If I had the time I would have welded a plate on the bottom portion where the pole slides into the receiver hitch.
