Hi there I am new to the forum and I am looking for some advice in regards to purchasing a Raptor R.
I have been looking at prices on very lightly used ( under 10,000 miles) raptor r’s 2023 and 2024 models. I am finding that there is opportunities out there on lightly used 2023’s under MSRP, although I know the 2023’s did not have heated steering wheels ( I live in the northeast cold and snow), they did not have HUD, and they have approximately 20 less horsepower. Just curious if there is anything else I missed and is the 2024/2025 Raptor R worth paying MSRP plus over the 2023 ?
The other question I have is it worth ordering a 2025 brand new and waiting 4-6 months or longer ? 2 years ago I vowed I would never order another vehicle from Ford as it was one of the worst vehicle buying experiences I have ever been thru = lack of information and new vehicles sitting in Detroit for 2-3 months after being built with no explanation. I’ve owned 4 raptors and 3 of them where all 12-13 months waiting time.
My other question is are there any forum members who have driven all the Raptor variants = Ranger, bronco, and F 150 and if so which do you prefer in regards of performance and value. I have driven all the F 150 Raptors and the Bronco Raptor, and for me the Bronco Raptor was the most enjoyable to drive. My only problem with the Bronco Raptor is value. The bronco Raptor was massively over produced by Ford and now ford dealers can not give them away, which can be a good thing because you can get a brand new one for $ 75,000.00 to $ 80,000.00 after discounts fully loaded ( $ 95,000.00 MSRP). The bad thing is the depreciation will be terrible if you ever decide to trade it in or sell it = 40-50 cents on the dollar. You know the Raptor R will hold it’s value much better and is produced in much lower quantities, very similar to the 2015-2020 GT 350 R SHELBY.
Any input or suggestions from knowledgeable Raptor R owners would be appreciated.
Thank You.
