First things first boys...

Lower your Air Pressure DOWN...

FRONT = 32 - 36 lbs.

REAR = 28 - 30 lbs.

Downside you will have to deal with the Low Pressure Warning Light coming on after you start the truck and once again about 20 minutes later...

It's so worth it to look at a yellow light on the dash as a trade-off to getting a much better ride..

Wow, that's low!
That's pressure for off-road ride. You must be screeching around every paved turn...
I'm sure it softens up the ride, but at what cost? Aren't you tires wearing out prematurely?

I have always thought my Raptor rode smooth, but after seeing y'all posts I'm thinking some of you came from the car world. I have always drove trucks and this baby rides smooth compared to any of the other trucks I have owned in the past.

Guess what I'm trying to say, don't be comparing your Raptor to a car ride.

>>I'm thinking some of you came from the car world.<<
Nope, drove an '02 Nissan Frontier CrewCab for 10 years and I hated the same thing about it. Like I said, Raptor feels maybe 10% better (in that regard)...

I must say that my SCap was always very smooth on the freeway, but with an empty bed it was a bit harsh over expansion joints. I never had any problems driving over leafs (don’t know about re-leafs)
After installing the RPG stage three the ride is much better over ruff surfaces.

Computer autocorrect misspelled Relief cut is that OK now PropDr?

I noticed as far as the choppiness in the front, going to mid helped.. Removing the swaybar took care of the shake/choppiness in the steering wheel..

Once I pick up my Raptor this weekend, I will comment on my findings with the ride quality etc. I have driven regular F150s, lots of 1500s, 2500s, and 3500s as well as some modified F350s and some older Ford Broncos. So I will comment based on those experiences.

Congrats!
Hope I didn't plant a bug in your head with this thread.
I absolutely LOVE this truck, just expected smoother road ride than my '02 Fronty.

Looking forward to your first impressions!

But of course, I use that excuse all the time :)

Forgot to mention, I took delivery of my truck with DuraTruc’s mounted and changed to mid perch right after getting it home.

Haha I am use to a rough ride anyway, my s2000 has stiff coilovers so I definitely feel everything.

Recommend going for the best damping experience....go with the RPG Stage IV+.
RPG (Raptor Performance Group).
call Jarrett or Corey @ RPG

Yeah, sure! Wouldn't that be nice. Got seven grand I can borrow? ;))
Just got the truck, gotta recharge the old wallet.

I did check out the RPG products. Some nice stuff!
Seems the Stage 3 is the most popular, but Stage 4+ ...man that looks sweet!

Does anybody have the Stage 4+? Is there a huge difference between the stock and the 3.0 shocks? Is it really worth it?
I'm no stranger to off-roading, though on TWO wheels.
But, once I get properly acquainted with my truck, I wouldn't mind using it the way it's meant to be used. :naughty:

Damn, I hope I'm not coming down with that dreaded "MOD" virus!

I am sure someone will give there .02 regarding the RPG Stage 4+...
Quite a few members have done this from all over the country, with excellent feedback!!

Whats great about the RPG product line, is that you can
Build off of each stage. So if you are going to use the Raptor
the way its meant to be used...I would at least recommend Stage 3.
If you wish, you could start with RPG Stage 1 and build off of that.

I would also take bstoner59 suggestion..and add some Nationals, which is the leap between RPG Stage 2 and 3.
