I have a '12 SCAB and I entered into it from a '02 F150 FX4 SCREW with a 3" lift, BFG tires and there is NO COMPARIOSON to the ride. The ride in the Raptor is 100 times better both before and after the mod's. I put on the 11 leaf National springs from RPG and that did improve the ride in the rear even more than stock but I had NO issues with the stock ride. It just got better with the National's.

I also have a buddy that has a '10 F 150 King Ranch SCREW and we both feel the ride in my Raptor SCAB is better. ESPICALLY off road, no comparison!

My wife drives a '10 GMC Denali, it has a better highway ride than the Raptor but even though it is 4wheel drive it is a asphalt queen, it would not last a day off rode. But it should ride better, it's not a TRUCK, it's a SUV. Street tires, suspension like a boat.

Comparing a truck to a SUV is not apples to apples.

I'm detecting a pattern here.

Seems like most SuperCAB owners are enjoying the smooth drive.

Whereas more than a few SuperCREW (2012?) owners report the same thing I'm experiencing - bouncing over road imperfections, potholes, expansion slots...

Can we do a simple poll?

Just state the YEAR and trim (SCab or SCrew) and whether it's SMOOTH or ROUGH.
(before any mods, of course)

My SCREW rides way better than my wife's 2012 Maxima, and way better than my 2005 Durango Limited. I do not feel road imperfections, I am stock except for a Bakflip and a Bedrug.

here, on frf
the way i see it, is that these shocks are for offroad, so they have to be a bit stiffer than a regular shock to absrb the bumps and jumps. if they are too soft i think that you would bottom out a lot......... but im electrical, not mechanical when it comes to vehicles........

im sure someone will prove me wrong........

I'm trying to compare one Raptor with another.
I know these are off-road trucks with off-road equipment.
But if one guy says he sails smoothly over potholes or crappy roads, and the next guy is bouncing in the seat... something is amiss. Just trying to find out what.

Trust me, I didn't by a Raptor to cruise the slab.
I wanted my four-wheel ride to be as off-road worthy as my two-wheel rides. ------------ KTMs :peace:

This is my take on the bounce. Turn up your radio and rock along with the bounce! :headbang:
