I can not say enough about Mike and this package! Install of afe stage 2 with cover is simple and pretty straight forward. Easy to install with simple hand tools. No drone or tinny sound from intake, nice and quiet when crusing down the highway. Big thumbs up!
The x3 tuner threw fits with windows 7 and kept comming up with communication errors. I loaded the software of windoze xp laptop and no problems. The tune really wakes up the 6.2. All the annoying drive by wire quarks and hunting of the transmission is gone. The first time I loaded 87 performance, something must not have stuck or user error. The engine would pull like a freight train until 40 mph and cut off.
I started to freak out, thinking my 2 day old truck was hosed! I reflashed the tune again, problem solved!
It is bad ass! Had a hard time keeping my foot out of it! Found out you run out of MPH (chickened out at 100mph) before it stops pulling!
Another big point is (for me) improved fuel mileage..
Averaging 15 mpg around town.. At this rate this kit will be paid for in a couple of months in fuel savings (10 gallons a week 40 gallons a month $120 a month savings!)
