For some reason when I remote start my truck the heated steering wheel heats up but the seat warmers don't actually start until I press the start button. They are set to full automatically, but my seats are ice cold until I get in and press the button.

Any idea why?

The steering wheel heat is on when the truck is remote started, but it and the heated seats turn off when you push the start button. You have to manually select seat and steering wheel heat when you drive the truck.

This is correct!

Even the lowly 801 I have the seats are on high when started with Fordpass when its cold, I really wish it wouldn't, I don't need my sack cooked first thing in the morning.

You can turn this off in settings.

Bumping back up for my question:

With remote start settings seats and wheel heat set to auto I remote start my truck and wheel is heated when I get in but seats are not. It isn’t until I press the start button that the seat heat comes on.

Is this normal for you guys or are your seats heated up before you get into the truck?

I actually didn't know I had a heated steering wheel until it automatically turned on via remote start one cold night.

My seats heat during remote start. There is a setting in the options menu that is auto/off. Select auto.

Mine is set to auto but my seats are cold until I get in and press the start button, then it comes on. Weird

Same problem here. Neither the steering wheel nor the seats begin heating until push button start on the dash. I have tried auto and the off setting (now set back to auto). No change with either setting. They only work when I push the button on the dash.

When you turn off your truck the day before, are the steering wheel and seat heaters on? I believe it will remember what your setting was when you turn it off. Turn them on before you shut off your truck the night before, so when you remote start they will automatically turn on.

I rechecked it this morning because of this thread and sure enough, both front seats and the steering wheel were warm following a remote start. But I have to select the seat heat once I push the start button. FYI this is in a 2017

They are both on when the truck is turned off.
