Alrights so about a week ago i purchased recon projector headlights. They weren't as bright as I was hoping so i called recon and purchased some HIDS for my headlights. When i got them in the mail there was only low beam bulbes. Shouldnt you get low and high beam bulbs? As yall can tell in know nothing about HIDS. Please help me out!

To get the best output from your lights follow these 5 directions to a tee.

1. Completely remove headlights from the truck (make sure to not scratch the truck when removing them)

2. Remove current bulbs from lights

3. Use Recon lights as bookends, steps tools, paper weights, etc.

4. Contact Ducat

5. Install new bitchin lights

Congratulations in those 5 easy steps you have now turned your lights into something that can be used to see better at night :waytogo:

Haha that was funny. Putting aside Recon's ****** quality, If you look at your headlights, only the dims are actually projectors. The high beams are your typical halogens. Usually H1's. If you're looking for better light out of them, you need better halogen bulbs. I think another thread mentioned a Phillips Xtreme (or something like that) that was essentially the best halogen out there, or you can go with Silverstar Ultra's. Don't get the ones with the blue tint, as that just dims the lumen output. But as Maxx said, if you want to have drastically better night vision on high/low, you need to check out Ducati's retrofits.
