I'm wondering why you don't see many Gen 2's with the Recaro seat option? Can someone school me on the differences please? I see the Recaro is blue and also heats/cools but beyond that, who knows?

You don't see them a lot because they are an expensive option that most dealers didn't order or receive. I did a lot of research and decided to take a chance. I had to special order the get velocity blue with Recaro. I LOVE THEM!! gorgeous...My kid spilled a pot of baked beans all over the back and it cleaned up perfectly. I absolutely can't tell that the Alcantara has worn at all. They keep you in your seat better, they are an extremely tight weave, easily clean up, Look much much much better than the rest of the seats most sheeple wind up with and have some additional bolstering. I'm really glad I got them. I will admit that when off roading I use a seat cover for peace of mind but it's not necessary.

I like them, and bought them, because they break up the sea of black that is the Raptor interior. The blue color really accents the blue paint on my truck. I also found them to be far more comfortable than the stock black standard seats as well.
That’s also a really good point, “break up the sea of black”

I originally looked for a truck without them, until I saw the Recaro’s in person. Since I wanted a blue truck, it definitely made it easier to go with them.

I sat in both back to back, and the Recaro’s felt slightly more comfortable to me. I wouldn’t want a Raptor without them now.

The blue stitching on the dash/steering wheel really sets it off in my opinion.

Absolutely correct, I actually waited for blue. Who wants an orange interior?

Why are people buying a $75K truck and then complaining about the cost of a few options? If the cost is an issue, I would stop shopping for Raptors.

Asking about these seats will bring out the same peanut gallery that shows up when you ask what is the best color Raptor.
The seats themselves are better than the standard seats.
Whether or not you like the looks of them is something only you can decide.
Personally I think it is a no-brainer to get them if you are getting one of the blue colors......

I will agree other Recaros I've sat in are a bit hard and not as comfy.... gt 350, all Mercedes AMG branded Recaros. However, I refer to these as Recaro touring seats. I don't think they made them as extreme since its not a track car. Just a standard truck seat with a little extra bolstering.

And just to clarify,, I'm in no way saying stock seats are not comfortable. And I think every individual and body type will differ in what is "comfortable" for them. Just for me, I liked how the recaros hugged me but still had ample cushion and spring to them.

Hugs are good. :)

I drive through there 4-5 times a year. I married a Parkersburg girl. Thanks for the product lead.
Nice! I've played a lot of ball up in Parkersburg and Marietta. Like it up there on the river.
If your ever coming thru and need to stretch and refuel...Give me a shout! We will have a raptor meeting and grab a beverage!

I almost opted for them, but I just didn’t really want them in blue. I don’t think they are ugly, just wish they were available in black or a dark gray, something more subtle

I searched out a Velocity Blue with the Recaro's and am very happy. They are awesome! Im 6'2" and 240 and they hold you in place perfectly no matter how fast you are going. Would not buy another Raptor without them.
