I could see doing this set up for a few thousand dollars. And you still have a bed to use.
A full, cut the frame, ditch the bed, make a new frame, fabricate the rear arms, add all new fiberglass sides, is a hell of a lot of money. Yes its more travel, but damn. Did you see how much work it was when Outlaw linked RSV1?

If I remimber right the raptor R had leaf springs. I'm sure of this as they broke one of the hangers on the 1000.

You could notch the frame to get more up travel, but even a simple 4 link will gain you substantially more desert running capabilities. You basically completely eliminate axle wrap, and if you ran a king 2.5/4.0 bump at the right psi and the right location, you would hardly notice the minimal up travel. Plus the ability to tune the coilover would be a huge gain offroad.

That's the xt, not the R. The R was the one they raced.
