Hey guys. I’m picking up a new to me/used gen 3 tomorrow. 500 miles on it. It’s an 801a but the rear camera doesn’t work. The seller said it was shipped to the dealer this way when he ordered it, and he was told at the time of delivery, the reason for this was there was no parts available when building the truck. Anyone that ordered one run into this issue? I’m a little anxious my local dealer will tell me to kick rocks for the repair(buying and adding the parts).

Pic of my gen 2 for fun.

I have no idea what happened from the factory to the dealer to the first owner. BUT I do know that if you attempt to get anybody but yourself to pick up the check for this repair, they are going to laugh at you.

In the grand scheme of things, you are doubtless overpaying for a flipped 2021 Raptor, so what is a couple of hundred bucks to remedy the camera?

Original seller probably removed the camera and used it elsewhere. It's federal law to have in place

He states dealer told him build would be delayed 90 more days and that they could deliver “now” and repair when parts come in.

I’ll call the dealer when they open. It’s 8 hours from me so worst case I’ll drive up there.

And I’m getting a smoking deal.
