Hey guys. I’m picking up a new to me/used gen 3 tomorrow. 500 miles on it. It’s an 801a but the rear camera doesn’t work. The seller said it was shipped to the dealer this way when he ordered it, and he was told at the time of delivery, the reason for this was there was no parts available when building the truck. Anyone that ordered one run into this issue? I’m a little anxious my local dealer will tell me to kick rocks for the repair(buying and adding the parts).

Pic of my gen 2 for fun.
LIKELY THE MODULAR WENT OUT... THE DEALERSHIP CAN ORDER THE NECESSARY PARTS AND HAVE IT REPLACED WITH IN A COUPLE OF HOURS. CAMERAS HAVE BEEN SOMEWHAT OF AN ISSUE FOR RANDOM VEHICLES... ITS AN EASY FIX AND UNDER WARRANTY.... IS THE SCREEN BLUE OR BLACK? WHAT EXACTLY IS THE SCREEN OR CAMERA DOING?

its the modular for the camera... call your nearest dealership and give them the vin and miles... they may still need to "see" it, but they will be able to get the parts ordered. it takes about hr and half+ to fix. And its still under factory warranty so you shouldn't have to pay.
Factory warranty is 3yr/36k miles bumper to bumper 5yr/60k miles on powertrain+ roadside. its a warranty fix---- even thought it's "used" it still falls within warranty...
