If Dodge really wants to brag about this kit car, then they need to step up to the plate and FACTORY produce it complete with warranty...Otherwise they need to ****.

maybe I missed it but I haven't seen anything from Ram about this truck in quite some time let alone bragging about. if u have please post a link or video.
as far as them needin 2 ****, why cause they are doing more than GMC, Chevy, Nissan and Toyota put together!

I'd never own a dodge but I'm not hating on them for giving the ok to build the ram runner either

I get what you are trying to say, especially regarding competition, but Dodge doesn't build the Ram Runner. The Ram Runner is nothing more than Joe Snuffy having anydealerusa install aftermarket parts. I had my dealer install my Stainless Works exhaust, does that make it a factory option? According to the morons at Dodge it does.

I see where your goin with this, but I've got a few ?'s

Did Chrysler give Kore the ok to build them a truck?
Did Chrysler give the ok to dealerships around the states to sell the parts out of the parts department?

Does Chrysler give Kent Kroeker a lot of $ every year as his main sponsor so that he can do r&d on his race truck.

If the anwser is yes to any of these ?'s than I see nothin wrong with what Chrysler is doing since no one else is doing it.

In off road racing their are very few people these days that can say that they've worked with a manufacture

Maybe Chrysler wanted to put the truck into production and financially couldn't make it work for them.
& if that's the case than atleast they didn't kill the project completely.

Kore was already selling LT suspension kits for Dodge trucks before the RR, as was a dozen other aftermarket shops.

They took the chump route and used existing ideas, existing parts and existing standards to market something someone else already did - and Ford did it better.

'Validating' their move after the fact by sponsoring a race team doesn't impact my opinion.

As I stated, I am happy for the 'competition' for all the benefits that competition brings. I just feel that they are marketing something that they had ZERO contribution to. For that reason I call shenanigans.

This is the same issue I'm having. Mopar built a badass truck, no doubt. But having a truck built by someone else and calling it your own is out of line.

Kent's was racing with Dodge well before the RR project came to light.

Don't know if you know this or not, but many shops have sent Ford suspension parts to use as r&d to produce the raptor going back as far as 2005, just like you say Chrysler did with Kore.

I didn't know the relationship was pre-existing - doesn't change anything - many manufacturers sponsor race teams simply for marketing purposes.

Ford did coordinate with the aftermarket community for R&D, then built their own products and included those Ford parts as a package in a production truck. They didn't just sign an agreement to resell someone else's parts rebranded as Mopar.

Sooner or later there will be a better truck than a Raptor -- that's a given. But as they come out and challenge the Raptor in the years ahead, it just makes sense the competitions should be apple-to-apple in price and overall type. It’s easy for a competitor to drop-in a lightweight 650hp engine and spend 20 grand on some fantastic suspension system – but that isn’t the present game being played in the 40—50K truck price range.

As an aside, some folks who are uneducated in these types of vehicles will walk-up or point to our Raptors because the truck is just plain good looking -- and that’s every bit as important as performance is in the desirability of a product. Dodge has produced some great, great trucks in the past and nobody will ever challenge the Mopar legacy but let’s face it, those dawgs don’t hunt these days and they’re real ugly…

The comparisson would have been equally stupid even if they voted the Raptor as the winner.

Bottom line. Who cares about what a couple of jackasses being over paid to do a ****** job reviewing things they know nothing about have to say about our trucks.

Idk why everyone is mad. The Raptor needs a stage 4+ RPG suspension & who's your daddy Ram Runner...it'd still be cheaper I believe as well.
