I agree with all points, but it’s still not going to be TRX pig heavy.

I'm with you, it's highly doubtful lol.

the TRX is 888lbs heavier than the Raptor with the 3.5, so even with the Raptor gaining 119lbs with the 5.2 plus FEAD. the differential is still huge between the 2.

769lbs is a lot of wiggle room.

I'm sure most of that weight is in the body panels, but is there any other areas where that weight is going.

Also, it would be interesting to see what the R on 37s will do. The extra tire weight and rolling resistance will close that gap further.

37s weigh just 4.8lbs more than 35s (66.5 vs 71.3). call it 5lbs each. it's an extra 20lbs.. but feels more when you're lifting those F@$kers lol.

yeah the Ram only uses Aluminum on the hood and tailgate, everything else is steel, plus the frame was beefed up.. she's not going to shed any pounds lol.

To me the bigger question will be the price tag the Raptor R brings? If they list it at $100,000 it’s going to be a tough sell.
I honestly dont think it will be. I dont think you realize just how many ppl paid 10-20k ADM for Gen 2 here in Cali. Hell when I bought my 2020 they were still selling for 5k over so now you add to the mix a much much better suspension, updated interior and the almighty SC V8 , yea I dont see as big of an issue with ppl paying 100k as you might think. Especially when most wont feel like they are actually paying 100k because of their trade in.

Ford makes raptor and people will buy it no matter what v6 or v8. People only buy trx because of the v8! everyone knows FORD is not RAM aka dodge aka FCA aka stellantis. FORD has given the option v6 for those who need that and v8 for those who want that. In trx you can only pick but not choose, so kudos to ford for taking the raptor to the next level for those of us who appreciates a capable off-road truck rather than flexing horsepower numbers and bitching and whining about it..thats my thoughts anyway
