Yep. They're on the wheel. Just my opinion but that's a way better spot for them. That way you don't have to shuffle ur hands on the steering wheel while you're in a turn to shift. Should be able to keep your hands on the same place of the steering wheel at all times. Unless the turn is very sharp. I just hope that for my sake and bluesvt as well, that the right side upshifts when pulled and the left side downshifts when pulled, or at least I would like that to be an option.

This is a very interesting product. Just curious, I assume you have a very unique frequency or some other way of preventing interference? Seems to me that it could be quite dangerous for a Raptor to start picking its own gears in the wrong location.

The sender and receiver units are pre-programmed to have their own unique frequency per kit and are paired, so you don't have to worry about activating your garage door on an accidental shift ;)

What's the response time?

The response time is the same as if you were to use the selectshift system. I believe reading more on the forum about shifting delay depending on how fast the transmission is able to shift, as the electronic sender is basically instantaneous.

Please explain details. :) will this system work on 2012's? Just MFT equipped vehicles......?

It will work on ford raptors 2011 and newer!

If I'm understanding the pic correctly the paddles are mounted to the steering wheel rather than the column (where they'd be fixed in place while the steering wheel turns) correct?

They’re mounted behind the steering wheel so the paddles can follow your hands on a shift! Also, the steering wheel doesn’t need to be removed during installation. Blondie has the right idea!! The down shifts are activated by the left paddle, and the upshifts are activated by the right paddle (see video below).

I want for my 2010 5.4 Raptor.
Do you make something for that year and engine.

We have automatic shifters that will work with 2010 models, however those are setup differently from our 2011 + raptor specific radio freq. paddle shifters.

We’d also like to specifically thank SDHQ and Icon vehicle dynamics for all their help and support along the way! We couldn't have done this without them! Here’s a short demo video we made featuring Icon Vehicle Dynamic’s Raptor with our RF paddle shifters:

(p.s. we also have a new site under development that I am personally going over. as soon as the raptors paddles will be available, we will be opening up our new site! Don't worry, it'll be a lot less confusing to navigate through our site!)

One of the things that was provided after feedback, having personally seen and tried the one you installed on the ICON truck, was the lack of tactile feedback... I've heard this is now being incorporated into these shifters? So you can actually "feel" a click of some sort when a shift is made?

Also, will they be programmable as far as how they operate, or is there an out of the box default that you're stuck with? My preference is always upshift on the right (pull) and downshift on the left (pull). Never been a fan of the push/pull levers... I prefer the F1 style!

We've fixed the issue on that. If you watch the video, you can actually HEAR the click now. I did see myself before how they had felt and their lack of "tactile feedback" as you said - we took that into consideration, didn't make the shift feel so "soft" and less spongey. Now you can actually feel the shift, and after pressing the paddles it snaps back into its original default position.

Currently, our other shifters have programmable preferences for those who wish to run a push /pull - up / down , or right side pull up shift, etc.
Out of box, our raptor paddle shifters will be right pull upshift and left pull downshift - I am unsure yet if we will be offering a user programmable way of programming the shifters but if there were anyone who wanted a pull/push up/down configuration, we could make that happen before shipment. However, we will know close to the date of release. We are expecting mid/late July! Possibly earlier.
