Wow, I can see here the attitude and I am sorry I spoke my mind and told the truth.
You guys are really interesting. Not sure why your opinion is better than mine, or what makes my attitude ****.. wrong? My truck sucks.. sorry if that offends you. Maybe I should close my eyes and cover them with my hands, then say to myself "raptor is awesome, raptor is awesome" and see if anything gets better.
Do you guys do anything besides wash and wax them?
Do some searching on the problems I have listed, and I am not a troll. I am happy to send a picture of my truck to this website if someone tells me how to do it. I am not lying, I am not here to start trouble.
The FOX shocks suck. All the Raptor guys were just at my shop, bragging how they had to buy 6500$ ICON packages.
In anycase, 7 of the 9 Raptors in Duluth have had the upper control arms replaced at UNDER 30,000 miles. Its a common problem, also why they offer aftermarket control arms.
On you tube, you will get about 30 hits on guys with the heater burning holes in the seat like mine did.
Daves Transmission here in Duluth had to fix my 6 speed GM tranny, when the valve body failed. Benna Ford in Superior, WI didn't know what to do with it.
I have rebuilt shocks my entire life for motorcycles and snowmobiles, not surprised my shocks are leaking.. well I guess I am, considering the truck has never been off road.
Anyone that thinks their RAPTOR has great throttle response is smoking crack. Stab the pedal to the floor and release it, stare at the tach in astonishment when it raises 200 rpm. My 79 chevy plow truck has a faster response.
I was trying to race my buddies Jeep SRT8 two days ago, it was great, I floored the truck and he was GONE before my truck even DECIDED to downshift, then go. Except, sometimes it doesn't downshift.. it just lugs along in whatever gear.
Now if you REALLY drive your trucks, like they are MADE to be driven... A BAJA truck MADE to go 80mph over bumps, then you would know that I am telling you FACTS. Is anyone here going to back me up, or lie to themselves so they don't feel guilty about buying a 50,000$ piece of shi* like I did?
I even mailed Ford a letter.. they wrote back to me and gave me a 200$ gift at the dealership and admitted they have a major upper balljoint problem.
Now how do I send a pic?
I love it, can I spray my truck with a can of the ANTI GAY spray?
The Raptor is the BEST looking truck alive, that's why I bought it. It rides good, it has a sweet dash and I love the counsel shift which GM doesn't have.
GM has its issues too, I am not biased. GM seats get hotter, cool, but they have no fender clearance for big tires and the trucks look like a tar baby.
I love the posi rear end, EXCEPT its gay that fords programming unlocks it at 15mph.. unless your in off road mode. Whats the point???
Has anyone tried to manual shift their truck yet? Hold it in low gear from a stop sign, like your going to race someone. Go for it, when the tach hits 5000 rpm manually shift into second gear. My raptor wont shift, it sits and bounces off the rev limiter for 2 seconds before it goes to second gear.
My Denali shifts IMMEDATELY into second gear as fast as I can shift it.
These things may seem trivial, but they irritate me and don't belong bogus on a race truck. This truck isn't a Cadillac, its made to be treated like a mans truck.. not a TAR BABY
