Has anyone done the Imogene pass in Colorado with the raptor? I know it would easily do it but just curious if anyone knows any good camping spots or certain spots that need extra attention given the size of raptor?

i did it a few weeks ago with a group of trucks, which included quite a few trucks with SVC or RPG midtravel suspensions.. it was a real good time.

We just did Imogene Pass twice (I chickened out and brought the Jeep), but someone went through one of the small bridges just below Tom Boy mine. So the forest service just closed the trail at that point (we were told we were the last Jeep to be able to make it through) and they don't plan on opening that part until the spring. The whole trail is not closed, but you can't get all the way through. They are taking flak for it, so check to make sure it is still closed if you are going to do it this fall.

I did it in a Jeep Gladiator a few weeks ago...and my Jeep is about the same width as the Raptor, not too far off from the length. Raptor will have no problem whatsoever.

As for camping, there are a few official campgrounds outside of Ouray (Thistledown and Angel Creek) but if those are full, there are quite a few pull-outs further up the hill, especially before the turnoff to Imogene. I stayed at one a little more than a mile up the hill from Senator Gulch (GPS below).
