I believe the cabs ARE the same. So while a very valid point, thats where any similarities end.



I will say the SD's are very impressive in person. I think these trucks are a bit like vipers. The photograph just okay unless you get the angles right (and very few people do), but in person damn they are sweet.

They are the same.

I'd agree that the photos don't give enough perspective to see the differences. In person they are bigger and more in your face.

Aren't the cabs, frames, engines all the same in the gen1? While the poor gen2 has its own frame, own engine but still shares the cab? Shame on ford for not designing a fully one off hand built beast that nobody could afford.

I think Gen 1 looks like a bloated Orca Whale

And the Gen 2 looks like a Bull Shark

Also thanks OP for be answer. Avalanche Grey seems to look completely different in every picture and environment as well as lighting so it's extremely hard to tell.

The 15+ F150s bed are not as tall/deep as the 09-14 beds either. I don't like that look.

Went to the fair yesterday. Took the family. Good excuse to she the ag raptor. First saw the silver one inside. It looked great. Started to worry since I already order ag. Went outside and there it was. Kinda odd at first glance. It almost had the powder blue tint that I've noticed in pics (which I don't like). Then I took off my sunglasses and it looked totally different. Really nice. Hard to describe other than it is different than any color I have seen on a vehicle. Think I will be happy w it. I liked the small side decals and even the white "raptor" decal with orange strip under that was on the windshield (just for advertising but I my try something like it). I saw the blue raptor at the dallas auto show. Man these rigs look really nice in person. I am ready for mine.
On another note AEV had some really nice vehicles on display. A jeep brute 127k and a ram prospector 87k. I liked a lot but thinking how I spent 57k on my raptor with what it comes with it now seems like a deal (as crazy as that sounds).
