^Nothing like a perfect launch!!!
A jump sure can go south if not done right and conditions don't allow it.
I'm not a Dodge fan by no means, but once there are real off road drivers in the TRX you'll see pics coming out.

I watched, well skimmed, the new video and I wouldn’t be shocked if his “R&D experiment” doesn’t lead to some common modifications to the TRX platform for people who do decide to run em in the dirt. Remote reservoir relocation kits for example and maybe a redesigned battery tray.

Agree. The battery tray was pretty surprising. I'd say that borders on a design problem.

No matter how rich i was , i don't think i could purposely damage something so expensive. I know how hard i had to work to get my 2010 raptor and mod it , and my 2019 raptor. Plus all my other toys.

I guess if your making more off it than you paid for it . maybe.

I hear ya. Feels the same to me. If he really does turn a profit doing this, I'm guessing it's something you learn gradually.

"Hey, let's take my $2000 beater and go abuse and destroy it. Holy shit, we made $4000 just by putting the videos on YouTube!"
"Wonder if we could buy a $10k beater and do the same?"
"Shit, it's working. I think we can actually buy a new F150 and destroy it for fun..."
...and on and on until they've grown their business to consume $90k trucks.

I'm still kinda skeptical, though. There's a lot of people on YT with a lot of views who don't generate anywhere near a $90k annual income, much less enough money to have a decent income and then buy a $90k truck to destroy as a consumable cost of business."

No matter how he's doing it, putting the claw hammer through the fender just for the hell of it is *******, any way you slice it.

I agree 100%; it did not even make sense. Sure seems like he just glosses over the full extent of the damage, I won’t believe it is ok until I see a body shop estimate.

I don't think he knows any better, you can kind of tell he's not a car guy. When he looks at it and says, it's just the front bumper is all, when you can clearly see every door handle down one side because the frame is so sprung.

The truck is legit totaled.

At least, for educational purposes, I now know about the weak spot battery/ecu mount.

I think that mounting those resis on the cross-member is an awful design decision. I'd consider them a weak spot as well.

Many think that the weight in the box is what smashed the window. No way. The window shattered because the bed hit the cab hard enough to deform the cab and smash the window.

All in all, it shows me some of the failure points, but I stand by my previous opinion. the TRX is a tarted up street truck.

He wants to say that he launched the TRX harder and farther and that's why it broke.

here are a few pics from November. Bone stock 2020 raptor. The dude hucked it BIG. Bigger than that TRX jump. No damage ( save for maybe the seat foam).

So tell me again how a TRX can compete with a raptor offroad.

I believe the damage that the TRX sustained can certainly be attributed to his horrible landing. The truck literally landed all of it's 7,000lb curb weight - and the additional weight he added - on the right front tire. When I saw that landing, I was expecting there to be nothing left to the right front wheel knuckle/control arms/shock. Incredibly it all survived intact, and the truck was still drivable. Unfortunately it appears that landing with all the weight on the right front of the truck may have tweaked the frame. I'd be interested to see a follow up of the actual damage sustained.

I think the frame is bent and cracked, at a minimum. I'd bet that the motor mounts, trans mount and tcase mount are all garbage now too.

I wouldn't doubt that the only reason the knuckle didn't shear was that the bumper took a fair amount of the impact, however that force was transferred into the frame.

I doubt we'll ever get insight into the extent of the damage.

He's a real ass for putting others in danger for continuing to drive it after it was smoking like that. Looked like oil or ATF smoke to me.

I'm no stranger to doing a nose wheelie in my truck. I've been looking down at the ground while strapped in more often than I'd like to admit.

not quite as big of a knucklehead move, but this was at about 75 mph. ( it is still unsettling) if you look closely, you can see my passenger's hand and soda getting close to the windshield.

So, I have seen his Raptor and TRX videos. Interesting how he states it is not his fault and takes no responsibility... I guess if we gave the same 30,000 likes he would jump off a cliff? I have a whole slew of other comments as well. Oh well, one less TRX and 90K down the drain.

this has got to be one of the dumbest things i have seen. and because all you people "liked" the video, the damage wasnt his fault. um..... he was the one driving, he is at fault. need to contact nasa engineers to find out how liking a video caused so much damage.

unfortunately i think this is going to be the first of many destroyed rams. he stated that he didnt know how fast he was going when he jumped it. lets break it down for a second. lots of power, inexperience, and a horrible jump
