Mine finally worked this weekend when I drove through some rain. I was also confused having them on the bottom thinking it was automatic but it never came on. Changed all 3 driver settings to have automatic wipers on and then turned the dial to the raindrop and it actually worked. I also had another issue so I disconnected the battery for 40mins last week to reset the blind spot (which didn’t work) so maybe that helped it out?

I would try settings in driver profiles and then put it on raindrop and see what happens.

I had mine in for service and they replaced the rain sensor for the wipers. Said it was 'gelled' up. Could be crappy QC on Fords end, YMMV...

Same issue with mine. I have the setting on in the vehicle/wipers/rain sensing setting on the center screen, and if my wipers are set at 0/A bottom position it does nothing. I read that is normal. But even if I put it on the single rain drop position the wipers perk up about an inch prior to the first wipe and then stay on as a slow intermittent wipes until I turn them back to the off 0/A position. As I up the rotations on the stick it has less delay between wipes, but nothing auto or rain sensing happens. I tried running a sprinkler over the windshield this morning, tried all positions of the rotational stalk. Nothing changes unless I rotate the stalk, only slower or faster, with and without water on the windshield.
I have a new 2023 Raptor with the same issue. It's "On" in vehicle settings. Courtesy wipe is off. I rotated the left knob forward to the single drop (least sensitive setting) and it just continues to intermittently wipe every 15 second or so (It's not raining). I tried every sensitivity setting from one rain drop to the three. It just wipes faster and never stops. Has anyone had their dealer fix this? Is it a software flash or hardware?

See posts 25 & 31. Seems adjusting each profile got it working properly for these gentlemen.

Rain sensing never worked on my truck since delivery. Never put much thought into it and didn’t want to leave it at a dealer for a week or whatever. Just read those posts and went out and tried it. Can confirm turning rain sensing on in the guest profile solve it.

It took 2.5 months for Ford Capitol to fix the issue.
It seems that the culprit was a defective motor (even though the wipers worked manually).
They now function rather well.

Ford just replaced my motor and says they work like they are supposed to but my question is which position on the stalk do you put them in? 0 has the A next to it but that doesn’t seem to do it.

I’ve heard this from a lot of people. The dealer even said that. Where I live I drive through a lot of super showers. I wish there was an easy single wipe. I’m really hoping this will cover that, but don’t have high hopes.

Just curious if anyone else has an issue with their Gen 3 rain sensing wipers not sensing. My wipers work fine if I turn them on and off but they do not come on when it rains and yes I have them on in the settings. I will take it into Ford but I am just curious if it is just on mine or if others have had the same issue.
Yes, I have a new 2023 Raptor that was doing the same thing. You are doing everything right as I was. The fix is go to the profiles. You will notice e there is automatically a “Guest” profile. Change to the guest profile and turn the rain sensing wipers setting to “on”. Once both yours and the guest profile have wipers set to auto sensing it works perfectly. Hope that helps. Definitely a flaw in the software.
