Race Red Raptor?

Maybe this is a demo Raptor that Ford is showcasing but I think it's interesting that it appears to be race red and that's not a color that's currently offered. I remember seeing one several months ago that was a prototype. Anyone know anything about it? Really wanted race red as a color option and was a little disappointed when it wasn't offered

That looks like the same Pre-Production model.


If they do add Race Red, it probably wont be until 2018MY.
I ordered Ruby Red and there doesn't seem to be any Pre-productions out there in that color. It could be that early feedback caused them to drop Race Red for Ruby Red. Not really sure.

Same as the blue they had on the prototype, not the same blue as is actually available. At least the other colours were the real deal I guess but still stupid

The above race red SCREW at the Houston Auto Show in January. It looked great. I have a race red SCAB and was hoping they'd continue making them in 2017. I'm a tad bit disappointed.

I hear you. I was intitially looking to get a blue flame Raptor in 2014. I never thought I'd buy a red vehicle until I saw a race red on a lot next to silver, blue and black Raptors. After that, I was sold on the race red.
