Prior to the implementation OBD II regulations in 1996 all emissions components were cover 6/60. As part of the negotiations/agreement with the EPA on the new OBD II regulations the manufacturers got the following requirements (emissions warranty minimum coverage is mandated by the EPA) 3/36 on all components except the engine computer (PCM/ECM what ever you want to call it) and the catalytic converters, which are 8/80.
That has been the regulation since 1996.

You’re a life (and money) saver. Now I just have to wait until Friday to get it into the Ford Service center. Hopefully it won’t take to incredibly long to get sorted out and fixed
