20lbs per tire is quite a lot. Toyo 35s are 83+lbs, OEM around 64lbs.

I'm running 35x12.50r17 Toyo Open Country MT's right now. They feel almost like lead weights compared to a truck on Baja TAs or the OEM BFGs.

My 37x12.50x17's that go on next week are only slightly lighter, roughly 3lbs per corner, but I'll definitely notice that.

You will DEFINITELY notice with the 37's!

My buddy and I run together a lot... he has chip/high flow headers/intake on his truck. I raced him after he put his 37's on, and I was able to pull him with only an intake... no chip or exhaust. Before, he would outrun me easily.

He also finds it hunts between 2nd and 3rd a lot, when in loose terrain at medium speeds (40-50 MPH) where as before he could hold his speed in 3rd gear.

But they sure ride smoother, and look better! Always trade-offs...

my Duratracs will be delivered this Wed. I am mounting them on Method NVs. Regardless I will weigh them by themselves and then weigh them mounted to NVs and then compare them to the Oem wheel/tire weight. I will take lots of pics so you can better make up your mind.

BTW, I purchased my Duratracs from TireCrazy.com for super cheap so check there for pricing if you plan to go the Duratrac route.

Thanks man. This helps a lot.

I don't agree with the comments about the Toyo's and Winter/Snow...

I live in Northern IL and also went on the Snoball 500...My Toyo's eat up the snow...along with everything else I throw at them.

And as far as weight...Yea they weight 20 lbs more each or 80 lbs total...on a 6,000+ lb truck....which is irrelevant!!!! :sexywiz:

while mud tires like the toyo can handle snow just fine, and are better in deep stuff like the snoball had, they will never be as good as an all terrain that is snow rated. my post about them being crap compared to the duratracs is true. i never said they would be crap all together, simply when compared to the duratrac, they are. duratracs have the mountain and snowflake rating. doesnt get much better, unless you stud it lol.

Bfg km2 are light. I saw the falkons wild peak in person today on a tundra finally. Not a bad looking tire. Specially in a 37

You pull the trigger yet, or getting close to choosing a tire?
