Had no idea you were operating without the spreadsheet. That spreadsheet is the Forscan Bible. I recommend sticking to it without deviation.

Here's a good tutorial you should read and then watch the videos before doing your first mod. For my first couple mods I went step by step following the video in the tutorial.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-8dKaS_Spu4Zw4hV_CrKC4tLoP9G8yejqegF1wxIqxY/edit?usp=sharing

Thanks, I had printed that info from the link several months back when I first tried to do this. I couldn't find the link to it. The printed pages were how I got this far. I made sure I saved it now so I have all the functionality in there.

That's a pretty solid list. I added:
-parking lights as DRLs
-disable powerpoint timeout (for camping with our 12V fridge). I'm OK with this because I left the BMS on and didn't disable the auto start/stop via forscan. I disabled it with an inline harness.)
-Lincoln fold mirrors (it's really nice to be able to look at the truck and know it's locked because the mirrors are folded in)

And now considering adjusting the heated steering wheel to be a notch cooler. That thing will fry bacon.
I like the Lincoln fold mirrors! Seat/steering wheel cool and heat buttons on the Home Screen. And the temp gauge numerical number as a few of the best.
I'm thorn doing Lincoln mirrors. Seen cases where they freeze in place (I'm in phx so this is trivial to me). , seen cases where you want them closed to back out of a spot after someone parked too close to you but the mirrors open up when you open the car etc. I wanted some mods that even when I sell the car I dont have to revert back bacouse they are to obvious the car has been modded. If it works for you enjoy

since you have a 2020 can you tell me what happens if you start the car , take the fob inside the house and try to put the car in Drive. Does the car move?

I was thinking to dp "secure idle enable" mode in Forscan where if the engine is on you cant put the car into gear unless the key/fob is present. Supposedly 2020 model has the feature already ...but not my 20.

To get a quiet startup experience I had to disable
-door ajar chime
-startup chime (do-do-do chime)
-seatbelt minder chime (Apparently it is not OK that I start the truck AND THEN buckle my seatbelt. I get a warning chime for this evil habit.)

After all that, I get no chimes when I start the truck. None. Quiet. Disabling all those chimes plus the double horn honk has bee the best Forscan mod I've done. I enjoy it every time I start the truck.

Only chimes I left enabled were safety issues and things that don't affect me, like "key not detected" and "door ajar with transmission not in park".
dorr ajar has beep and dash warning. They both trigger at the same time. I'd say beep is redundant but you can never be too safe

I just tried it twice. It WILL NOT come out of park.

I got the DRL mod, the double honk delete (THANK FUC*** GOD IT'S GONE!!), the delete remote tailgate open, and the Lincoln mirrors all done. Apparently, I AM THE MAN! :pimp:

I had a nice surprise when I got done with the DRL mod. During the day I like to run my parks and BD SAE's. Since the day the dealer replaced my front camera a few months back, whenever I turned on the parks, unless the sun was blazing directly into the sensor from directly above, the center screen and middle gauges would darken considerably like it was night. I'm talking 1pm on a bright cloudless day, it would dim the lights! Very annoying. It was back at the dealer twice and they couldn't fix it. They replaced the sensor twice, no change. They said the factory says I need to remove my 80% tint on the windshield. They had no answer when I asked why it was fine with the tint for 6 months, before they worked on my truck. It would turn the brightness of the gauges way down if the light switch was anywhere but off.

When I was done with the DRL mod it now no longer drops down darker.
I'm so glad to be rid of that damn double honk. :banana-mario: What a stupid and annoying feature!

My ‘19 has that. I left it. Have reasons.

I think Dan wants his to work, and it's not. I agree with you, I think that's a good feature.

Oh! For security reasons and kids it makes sense. A lot of great enhancements and ridding yourself of annoyances makes the Forskin mods awesome.

There are some good tutorials on YouTube you can watch as well. Once you get the basics down, it’s pretty simple. Forscan.org has some docs to get you up and running as well.
