Yes. It is called a courtesy delivery. Let's say you purchased from Dealer A (not local to you as you found a better price). You just have to ask Dealer A and then dealer A will find a dealer near you. Let's call this 2nd dealer, Dealer B. Dealer B will have to agree. Dealer B will do the PDI and all the necessary paperwork on behalf of Dealer A. Dealer B will not do this for free and will most likely charge $500.

Don't forget Ford charges you shipping no matter if the dealer is 10 miles from the plant or 2500 miles from plant. In other words, Ford does not care which dealer gets the truck. All of this has to be arranged shortly after you placed the order.

Does anyone know if you can order through one dealer and take delivery from another?

It's possible if the receiving dealer is cool with it. However I mentioned to my usual dealer that I bought 4 trucks from and they weren't too keen on the idea of me buying a truck from another dealer and taking delivery from them. However I didn't buy my 2020 from my usual dealer.

I called several dealers in my area when I was buying a Z06 from out of state. In the end, the receiving dealer has to agree and I found it is best to call the service department, not the Sales guys. Out of all the Chevy dealers I called, only two would agree and they both wanted $500, even though they also get paid from the MFG for the PDI work.

So it sounds like a road trip is in order.

My son did a factory order on a 18 thru a dealer in another state and had it drop shipped to a local dealer for delivery. The receiving dealer I think charged a small fee. Seems like to order one off a lot in another state was more of a hassle on shipping than doing a factory order as they shipped it by train to the railhead then had a local transport bring it to the dealer.

Dealers are balking at that today with the Covid crap....at least one today has said that.

That’s how I ordered my ‘18. Ordered from a dealer in person and asked for delivery to Florida. I would up moving prior to delivery and redirected the delivery to a Missouri dealer. everyone was cool when I explained why. The dealer that sold the car got their piece and the dealer I received it at got a loyal customer until the next move.
