I bought a convertible GT500 on impulse a year ago. I do like having a 6 speed convertible, neither of these options are available on the new ones.

Wow man that is beautiful! Are you going to take this car apart like you did the Raptor and ceramic coat every part? Lol. I like a guy who’s all about the details.

When I took my truck in for the pcm/phaser flash a few weeks back, they also had basically the same GT500 on the show room floor. It was one of the only vehicles they had left in the whole dealership at that. Nope I did not go home with it and I didn’t even ask how much it was going for. Had my son pose for a couple of pics next to the car and left the place just thinking how it could have been lol

Ha, yes, that’s the plan. Day two of the overall protection process, had crystalline 70% applied to all the interior windows.

I have already prepared the car for the ceramic coatings and here you can see I am getting ready to start applying all the exterior protection with these great products.

Todd that’s some operation you have in process over there. But I know you don’t skimp. That baby is gonna be super protected.

Do you mix E-85 and 91 octane to get E-20/E-30 tankfuls? Or do you just run 91 straight?

thanks. She will be protected and very clean. No I don’t mix E – 85, haven’t even really heard of that. I live near a race track so as I do with my Porsche and Mercedes, I’ll take a trip to the race track and fill up with 93 octane. But I haven’t done the research on this GT500 so I’m not sure if the ECU adjust automatically

Ok that’s great. 93 octane is available to you. Many have to add some E-85 in Cali to bump up that 91 octane.

Todd is that PPF there doing to the front windshield? And if so the protection must be great but have you noticed any drawbacks. I just had the Rap touched up and front skid plate color matched to the bumper color, then PPFed the front half of the truck and then my graphics from Rocky Mountain graphics, followed by the ceramic coating. Wondering if I should do the windshield now?

Hi. No, it is not standard PPF it’s a specific film intended for just windshield, here is the link. From what I’ve read, they are good for two or three years after that there are scratches from the windshield wipers. It’s a bit pricey, I paid $650, But at least for me, my Mustang will never rain, so I’m not worried about having to replace it.

Congrats...That is a badass ride. My local dealer had one the same color but it didn't have the carbon fiber wheels. It had a $25K ADM and it was gone in 2 weeks.

Thanks. Yes, these are going for crazing mark ups. I think for two reasons, this is the first GT 500 that is truly a track capable car and the second reason is the speculation is, 2022 will be the last GT500 produced, at least with an all gas v-8 predator SC engine.
