Does the Top Tier Premium exclude Ethanol?
no. Top tier is still mixed. Bucees has non ethanol. Now that is not cheap

Does the Top Tier Premium exclude Ethanol?
Appreciate all of the replies! I agree— not concerned about a few extra $$$ for a tank. Spent a lot of money on the truck, and want the best fuel. Luckily there is a Costco about a mile from my house.
Thanks so for the article on performance. Good stuff!
DittoSecond on Costco premium. I'll drive until I about run out of gas to a Costco. Always the cheapest premium in my area too.
if you have a boosted motor (turbo or supercharged) you must should run premium. Normally asperated, get no benefit from premium.
In a Raptor...yes...you "CAN" run cheap 87 gas, but your 450 hp motor will only make about 390hp, and you will see about a 1mpg drop in fuel economy.
Gen 1s are rated by Ford at 411hp on 91 and 401hp on 87. It's in the Raptor Supplement manual: https://www.fordservicecontent.com/...r-Supplement-First-Print_rp_en-us_09_2013.pdf
Most engines can increase performance, be it max power or economy, by running more timing, made possible by higher octane. And they've all got knock and octane sensors to control it.
Make sure it is Top Tier Premium fuel. There is a difference in the quality: https://toptiergas.com/licensed-brands/
Costco has the best price on premium.
